Concert 1, Miracles of Music

At the home of Charles and Nino Shipp 110 Wagner Place Memphis, TN 38103. The Ceruti String Quartet, in residence at the Rudi Scheidt School of Music, enlightens us in their performance of Mendelssohn’s Quartet in E minor and Beethoven’s No. 15 Quartet in A minor, Op. 132. The astounding third movement is titled “Holy Song of Thanksgiving” – A true miracle! Chamber music at its ultimate best!

Concert 2, Songs Our Fathers Taught Us

At the home of Drs. Ben Wheeler and Aimee Christian 1560 Central Avenue Memphis, TN 38104. Pianist Victor Asunçion and cellist Leonardo Altino combine their extraordinary talents in a performance of lyrical and virtuosic works by Beethoven, Schumann and Chopin as they reminisce about the enormous impact their “musical fathers” had on their lives. A very intimate and moving concert by two beautiful artists! Please come!

Concert 3, Bright Lights and Rising Stars

At the home of Dr. Lawrence Edwards 138 Perkins Extended Memphis, TN 38117. Violinist Clayton Hancock, formerly of Memphis, and his piano partner Eric Guan, have planned an eclectic program of works by Bach, the Partita No. 3; Schumann’s lyrical and passionate A minor Sonata; Tango, Song and Dance by Andre Previn; and Viernes de Cuidad by Aldo Lopez-Gavilan.
